Back in the late 90s I built these two estes kits. They are no doubt my favorites I have ever built. Does anyone know why they were discontinued? I would love to get my hands on both of them for nostalgia's sake.

Yes!!! It was an awesome model. I think I built 3 and launched them many times. One died to a failed chute and a rather large oak tree. Dont remember the others and why they died. Lol

Looks like a nice kit to build but 50 bucks plus shipping is too steep!

I know what you mean. I’ve been on eBay looking for vintage rc planes. Not a lot of balsa kits around these days. Also been buying cox engines. Love the 1/2 A scale. Nostalgia is a wallet killer!

the SR-71s show up on Ebay regularly, sometimes prices are reasonable.
