I bet it probably cost as much as BMW Mclaren f1 to build.
Those turbines cost about 15 to 20k a piece.

Not quite. I would guess it cost around $20k total - the turbines go for $3-5k each.

I like how at the 30 second mark there are 3 people in the picture. The guy fueling the bird, his wife(?) standing by with fire extinguisher in hand and the other guy standing there shooting the breeze... and smoking a cigarette. :shock:

I'm quite certain that after spending 20k on this beautiful bird I would crash it within 20 seconds. This is why I stick to $20 rockets.
