One thing I learnt when building my AMRAAM , was that a easy way (and cheap) way of filling spirals is to buy some wood filler , and fill the spirals with it , needs very little sanding if it is applied properly. Then when it has been sanded , paint the whole thing with Delux undercoat , leave it to dry overnight , give it a light sand with a light grit sandpaper , and heres the results.

BTW I forgot to add that a good internal filleting glue is No More Nails ( Available at B&Q ect ) And that stuff WILL NOT let those fins budge a mm ! And if the rocket had so much impact that it made the fins come out , the rocket will be beyond a repairable state!
