I got a chance to apply the booster tube and the 2nd stage fin can.
With the weight of the 3d fin cans and nosecone I set the rocket up for a
29mm motor mount

With 70 + temperatures here in North Carolina I had a chance to lay down a primer coat and 2 weeks later a base coat of white on SparoAir 2

Took some time today to start masking the SparoAir 2 for roll pattern
In the next day or 2 with weather cooperating black paint will be applied
The single peaces of tape on the fins are to remind me which ones will be black

That Fin Mold makes it look small - LOL !

That is the mold for a 6 inch Black Brant fin

The SparoAir 2 is a BT-60. you ought to see the 4 Black Brant Rockets I did using a BT-55
and how they look next to the fin

That fin makes it look tiny . . . LOL !

The SparoAir 2 is a Estes BT-60 and the 4 Black Brant 2 models I did are Estes BT-55
But the fin mold will be used for a 6 inch diameter 4 fin Black Brant 2

Got some black paint on the SparoAir 2
Will unmask in about 24 hours to give the paint some cure time

Good News !!

I think I have located a Navy Video filmed in color of a Sparoair Sounding Rocket being
air launched. Will post more info when I have a copy of the video

the last pictures were of the ones where you sprayed paint on the rocket, which was 2 years ago, did you ever launch it?

Not yet as I have been having some medical problems.

I have the Sparoair and 2 versions of the 4 fin Black Brant II that need to be launched
Hopefully I will have my up scaled to a 4 inch diameter of the Estes Maxi Icarus and of the
4 inch diameter up scale Centuri Payloader II ready to launch at the same time
