Space Shuttle Plastic Model Conversion

and I have completed building it. Where is the best place to put the engine? I was thinking at the bottom of the ET. What should I use to make the hole?

I've seen one with the engine in the tank indeed, but more I do not know...

How are you going to recover it?

That is today's project. I am going to have to remove the boosters from the ET and then cut the top piece of the ET (it looks alot like a nosecone) and then I plan to make an adapter out of cardstock, maybe make it stiff using CA and then attach the parachute. Seems like it will work. I then have to reglue the boosters back on once I am done.
