How Big? How many? What's the end goal?
If you just want to get your feet wet, just go with Amazon. Relatively cheap, lots of options, and reviews to lead you the right way. You won't get leading edge efficiency but I've used panels off of Amazon to build several 200-ish watt systems without a single issue.

was thinking of 2 -3 watts to power a small brushless fan(of course one could just use a 9v battery :)), something I could plop on the dashboard for a small breeze when I am building motors in the car so about 3 - 6v. 'futurlec'( have not ordered from them before) has some for $1.5 that would work.

There are a lot of places to look. Harbor Freight even has some (although I would seriously question their quality) but Northern Tool has a decent selection depending on how much power you need.
