If you're prepared to ship to the UK I'd love to have one. Also several other of your kits.

Unfortunately shipping overseas adds at least another $35 and at that point I don't think you are getting sufficient value, in addition if there is any damage, it is impossible to get overseas postal services to actually pay, I've already suffered through that.

I wish we could find a way to get your kits over here. I've been looking at them for years and would love to get my hands on a few.

I was honored to have Michelle Evans include my X-15 rocket glider and details about the 199 flights replicating the x15 program that I did on her web page under the model section http://www.mach25media.com/models.html
Her web page has a lot of excellent information including some of her talks on the x15, if you haven't gotten her excellent book I highly recommend it she goes into a lot of detail into the human stories around the program.

Robert McNamee was nice enough to provide me with a set of drop tank cones so I could mount the drop tanks for display on my R/C X-15A-2 #66671which is the lengthened version designed for drop tanks and high speed runs. I did them in the two-tone silver shown in some of the test fitting photos. The tanks are a little bit short because they butt up against the servos on the bottom of the model so they couldn't be quite as long as they should be, and they have a little too much weight to actually try to do glide flights with them in place but I think they look really good. They mount with strong magnets and come off easily for flight. This is 1/21 scale and has over 100 flights. This is the same model as the kit I produce. These would also fit perfect on the Radical Rocketry 3-d kit Robert produces, I have one that I may add magnets too either for display or try them with rocket flight to see if these same ones will stay attached.

I was browsing around movie channels today, instead of working on my current RC project….:)

I happened to drop into the Tubi free movie channel today and much to my delight, they were streaming “X-15” from 1961, starring Charles Bronson as one of the X-15 pilots. I think I had only seen this once many years ago. It has apparently been restored and enhanced.

This movie was at least half X-15 documentary, with lots of interesting detail shots of the bird. They had extensive USAF and NASA support. Hollywood only did a little damage to the story…:)

However, they must have stretched most of flying scenes from 4:3 aspect ratio to 2.35:1, to match the rest of the movie when it was restored. A shame. However, there is still a lot of great stuff to see, including some ground and hangar scenes showing lots of great X-15 detail.

Worth a look for X-15 fans, if you can access Tubi. I did so free through my Amazon Fire Stick.
