Getting back into the hobby after a long absence. My launch area is not large and I have already lost some but here are two perfect recoveries. I have an Estes Mean machine on order so am furiously studying ways to make sure I get it back!

Use OpenRocket to help you decide on a good combination of motor impulse, parachute size and launch angle/direction using the actual or forecast winds to stay within the recovery area. You can plot the simulated landing points on Google Earth for your particular launch site.
