Hi,

I took the new SKYeye cam rocket out to a new field just found, started the camera rolling and pressed the red go button. Up it went - chute got burnt and down it fell. No damage done to anything excpet the burnt chute.

Here are a few teasers:

She looks great!! Glad you didn't have to much damage as a result of the burnt chute. Fantastic paint job!!

The fin arrangement / setup looks alot like the Estes Prowler kit.

You guys are going to have to learn better chute preparation!

Seriously! I have literally worn out a parachute. I used the same "lucky parachute" as many as 15 times on the same day!

OK, by the end of the 15th flight I was ready to throw it away!

Wading, Dog barf, talcum powder, proper folding techniques, these are all very important and not to be taken lightly!

You guys spend so much time on filling spirals, primer, masking and such beautiful paint jobs it's such a shame to hear about these recovery failures.

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!

put as much time and care into parachute and recovery techniques as the rest of the model.

From the pics they look like they deserve it.

Hmmm. I follow all the procedures for flights:

1. Pack wadding
2. Dust chute and fold using Carlisle method
3. Wrap wadding around chute

I still get burnt chutes :-( I seem to have little luck with chutes over 18".

Very nice!!! Love the paint job. How did you achieve the flame pattern?
