Site Performance

I'm sure everyone has noticed that for the last 48 hours or so, the site performance has been...less than optimal. It took a while of digging through logs, but I finally tracked the problem to a system in Croatia that's beating the bejeezus out of the server.

Some changes resolve the issue; my apologies for the frustration of a slow TRF.

Once I had them stopped, I had a chance to investigate what the problem children were doing.

Their goal? Inject users into another system. Of course, their attempts to do so didn't get them anywhere, but it sure tied the system in a knot -- thousands of attempts per day.

Was kind of wondering why the site kept 'timing out' yesterday before I headed to work..Glad to see you got it sorted out Kevin!

Good work Kevin! I kept getting Database error pages last night and was wondering what was up.
