My most recent Hydra upscale is a 4.6 upscale seen here with my prior two projects. See it on the pad at Thunderstruck 4 on 5 April 2013.

I saw the Hydra I thread, but not a Hydra VII thread. Here are pics of my Hydra VII when it was in flying condition.

Nice looking rocket. I am in the middle of building this one myself and I have a couple questions:

    1. How did you paint it? The instructions seem to tell you to paint after it is all built but given the scheme it seems that would be difficult at best.

    2. What motors did you use? Are the outer motors plugged?

    Thanks

Welcome to the Semroc Hydra VII (KB-7) Gallery on TRF.

This gallery showcases the Semroc Hydra VII (KB-7) and those rockets derived from it. Particularly appropriate in this thread are the following:

    Semroc: Hydra One: KA-18
    Semroc: Hydra VII: KB-7
    Semroc: Hydra VII: KV-29

as well as any upscales, downscales, clones, kitbashes or other derivative works. Even Goonies qualify!

Here's my Hydra VII family. A stock Semroc kit, next to a 1.55x upscale, which flies on 7x24mm.
