I just built a Hawk and have the leftover balsa cutouts.

I was thinking about enlarging them to 200 - 300% and building something bigger. I'm guessing it would probably require at least a C engine.

My questions:

What dihedral angle would I use on the wings? I have the "Handbook" on loan from the library, but I haven't seen an equation for calculating this. I'm sure it's not just double or triple the dihedral on the original (that would be TOO easy).

Should I just buy a 24 mm motor tube plus nose cone for this or should I do something else (body tube plus centering ring)?

What else do I need to consider before I attempt this?

Thanks,
Jim

Angles don't get upscaled, only linear dimensions. Keep the same dihedral angle.

But if the dihedral is specified as something like "prop the wing tip up N inches", then scale it. That'll keep the angle the same.
