"And now, for something completely different..." (but still on-topic):
After my wrestling match with "rolling my own" centering rings for a Semroc (Centuri)-sized project, Carl McLawhorn was kind enough to send me samples of CR-913 (Estes CR-5056) rings in light ply, basswood, and fibre. I began experimenting, and found the combination that worked for me.
Overjoyed at Carl's kindness and "jump right on it" attitude, I also asked if he could laser-cut some fin sets for the same project (which I was dreading because of their "curvy" profile. He "bellied right up" (figuratively speaking, of course) to the laser cutter, and sent me the fruits of his labors right away.
I opened the box, and was absolutely *amazed* at the results. They were even more *gorgeous* than I'd hoped they'd be!
For the last two weeks, I've been averaging one package from Semroc per week. (blissful sigh) Life is good in my world right now. ;-D
Cheers,
