SEM High Build Primer

Has anyone used this high build primer? It looks pricey, but if it does a good job of setting up a smooth base, it might be worth it. Any tips on using this vs other filler primers?

I just read the short description on that web site:
SEM 42013 High Build Primer Surfacer provides superior adhesion, film build and flexibility when priming automotive metal, aluminum, urethane, plastic and other similar substrates.

Since it says nothing about porous materials like paper and wood, I'd have second thoughts about its efficacy for general rocketry purposes.

You don't say what you are priming. This posts mention what I do that works well:

I use Dupli-Color primers which are available in high build formulas, are wet sandable, and for finishing have different colors available. For high-build heavy filling I use the canned product mentioned in the post.
