I actually had to mail a tablet to one of my clients who was in Salt Lake City the other day. He requested it Priority, but I told him i might not be able to send it priority because of the Lipo battery. It might have to go ground. But since the Tablet was brand new, never opened, never powered on, USPS allowed me to ship it Priority.

I am sure those potentionaly effected by this will: 1) Not blame you for the craziness in shipping. 2) Do what they can to work around it as quickly as possible. 3) In the event of a delay, still enjoy the gift(s).

Postal Service, and Customs is always rough this time of year, this strike just makes it worse.

There is a lot of behind the scenes communication going on this year. I think I learned a lot more about shipping to Canada this week then I ever knew about.

Just like showing the boxes your shipping may be giving away info, unless its there to intentionally give misleading info. In which case that's just mean over the top.

I know that feeling... Especially seeing the stuff that is coming in from the donors for the PES. One donor did say "sure, we will send something, and maybe send something for you too" so maybe my hands can get a little sticky. In the past there was a donor that sent dozens of kits and the instructions said "pick a couple for yourself." But if not instructed too.. all donations go straight to you guys.

Speaking of which, as much as I would like to keep the extra -redacted- for myself, I already decided who I will probably send it to. PES drawing will be on the 16th, so if he wins the PES I will pick someone else for the bonus item.

I love wrapping presents but apparently she loves it more because she doesn't let me wrap any... Including what I bought her... Those two white boxes are hers...

No problems with Seattle. Driven through it a couple of times when I was attending RRMC as an officer cadet in Victoria BC. All I am saying is that there are not that many addresses in North America west of Seattle. Then again maybe they were planning on sending it to the east coast via the very long route...Asia-> Middle East-> Europe-> East Coast North America.
