I'm looking for a source for seamless nose cones in most sizes. It seems no matter how much time I spend (cutting, filling, sanding etc) trying to hide the seams I can still see them. It might be that I need more practice!! Any thoughts?
Thanks

For plastic nones specifically, I like to mount them on a dowel chucked into a hand drill. Progressively finer sandpaper in the off hand, and don't go too fast.

it can be done, removing the seam line on plastic NCs. Just takes sometime & prep.

I, like to:
Shave off the flashing with a razor, x-acto, etc.. I then scrape it off.
I then will sand it with fin sandpaper on a block.
Then fill with Bondo or Squadron putty.
Sand again.
More Bondo / Putty
Sand again..
Depending on how I feel, how it feels & looks, more bondo & sanding..
then paint.
Primer, sand almost all of it off (Get a 'filler primer') paint, sand, paint, sand.. usually abo 3 times, with the sanding less & less each time
Seam & scratches should then be gone, or only visible when viewed up close..

then 2-3 coats of colour..

Frankly, I scrape, maybe a layer of Bondo, sand, 2 layers of primer, and 2 coats of colour.
