Since ;many of you are involved in your schools I thought you would appreciate this.

You can have your school, school children, even your own children involved in the current mar mission. Go to: https://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/classroom/schoolhouse/

Here they provide you with instructions on how to send a rock from your home area into the science labs. Your rock will be analized using the same equipment currently on mars and a geological comparison between your rock and the mars rocks provided. Further, your sample will be made available for other scientists doing such comparative work.

A great way to get our younsters involved in the exploration of our solar system rather than just reading about it.

I've also checked out other areas of the site and this is a *must* for educators and students alike.

check it out!
