This is the Centuri Starfire scaled up and scratch built. The Starfire was the first rocket I launched in 1971. Paint job is the same minus the stripe. It is great to touch base with yesteryear!

Cool. Care to tell us about the build?
The boattail was the hardest to make. scaled up the pattern then cut from 2 sheets of spotlight gels. I purchased the nosecone for $15 (ouch, 7 x the $ of the original rocket) The fins are cut from basswood. I built this everywhere I went..laundrymat or work. It was a lot of fun. Homemade parachutes too.

Good project!

First time I walked into my regular laundromat with a 3" booster to work on masking, the lady behind the counter just raised an eyebrow and said "Don't blow us up...."
Now they don't even bat an eye if I come in with something to work on.
