This may be a dumb question (to the TRF moderators), but is there some way we can extend an invitation to the 'owners' of the "Scale Rocketry Forum" to fold their forum into TRF?
https://www.scalerockets.com/forum/
The title of their forum is a bit of a mis-nomer, as they are not a forum about scale models--- that just happens to be the name of the company hosting the forum. Their forum covers the same stuff as TRF. There seem to be lots of newbie-type questions that get posted there and go unanswered. If posts are answered at all it seems that their moderator does all the work. The categories for discussion seem to duplicate the groupings we have here on TRF. Their entire forum seems to duplicate TRF. Do they really need a redundant forum or are they just trying to look good to their customers?
My concern is this: At a time when we should all be trying hard to help new folks get started in our hobby, when we should be encouraging and supporting people to grow their skills, here is a redundant forum that appears (so far) to be a dead end to many of the participants.
Can we invite them to come play with us?
