So i bought a 6 foot section of 8020 rail for my Zeypher rocket. I Also went out and got one of those tripod bases for construction lights. Well the rail is just ever so slightly bigger than the hole.

Any advice on the best/proper method for sanding of just enough for it to fit? I know its just extruded aluminum, i have the tools to do it, im just seeking some professional opinions/advice on the matter at hand.

So so i figured out my course of action...I removed the cheap cam lock thing in the contruction light stand i bought($24 for the whole stand) and then just went drill happy and made this...probably over simplfied. but just some t slot connectors, next bol caps, and some matching 1/4 holes in the stand. secured with some nuts, and a custom blast plate fixed on the same way.
