Does anybody know what's up with Rogue Aerospace Corporation (https://www.rogueaerospace.com)? I tried to order two of their kits but the shop doesn't work. The e-mail address contact at rogueaerospace.com doesn't work, as well. And they don't respond to my fax...

Rogue was sold a few years back. As far as I know the new "owner" is still sitting on all the inventory. (there was quite a bit of it.) I've not heard anything for awhile now as far as what's happening with it. It was all a big secret as to who bought the company. Maybe one of these newer rocketry companies that has popped up in the past two years is who bought the name and inventory but decided to use the parts for their own kits. If that's the case, maybe they'll speak up. If anyone else has any info about what happened to all the inventory, I'd like to hear about it.

That website info is all from the original owner of the company.

I'm just wondering why their website is still online? Without the shop it is somehow senseless...

PDRocketry's website was up for quite a while after they went under, so I
assume the website simply stays up so long as the subscription term is paid.
I know it doesn't make sense, but I guess that's the way it goes.

Dale Windsor bought the remaining inventory of Rouge back in, oh, maybe 1999 or 2000. I know I got a Deep Surface Probe kit from him in November of 2000 (still haven't built it, of course).

If there's something you want, you might check with Dale. Don't know if he's rejoined TRF since the reset, but his handle is probably Lawndart.

As for the Rouge site, I think it has simply been resurrected by its original owner, or its web host, as a test bed for building another site. Note the urls that come up when certain pages are selected...

Roy,

That's incorrect. Dale may have had some Rogue kits to sell, but he didn't buy the company and parts stock. Unless that is if Dale's the mystery buyer when Brent put the stuff up for sale on eBay about 3 or 4 years ago.

Here's some reading concerning the company sale:

I had looked into buying him out back then, which is how I know Dale didn't own it in the '99-'00 range you're speaking of.

If the OP would like to clone some of the Rogue kits, I have the plans available here:

oh yea, I remember the ton of MRC stuff that was on auction for awhile.

But I really don't remember Rogue doing much after 2000 (The website that is now functioning pretty much indicates a freeze in 1999 or 2000, and I haven't talked with Dale lately but I thought he had some sort of arrangement with Rogue that went beyond just being a retailer.

The inventory is owned by a member of CATO however, at his request, I can not tell you if and or when it will be available. He does have plans at some point to re-open the company under a slightly changed name.

Thanks for the followup info.

With the MRC parts he has, it would be cool if he re-introduces some of the old MRC kits.

Yes, the MRC Big Ben would be cool... And some kits of the Rogue Product line. I would not hesitate to order a Space Needle, a Deep Surface Probe or a Crossfire II!

Dale informed me yesterday that he doesn't have any Rogue kits to sell...

I know that Jim Z and/or YORP has some of the plans posted, I've thought about cloning a Deep Surface Probe, maybe I'll get around to it some day.
