I need help I'm just not getting this.
I'm trying to put new motor files into this thing.
I'm trying to follow the instructions on the Apogee video.
When I click on a motor file from emrr,
instead of getting the page that asks where to download and save the file to,
I get a page of text.
Has anyone experienced this.
Any Ideas ?
Thank You,
call me
very frustrated

Try right clicking on the link. When the dialog box pops up, choose "Save target as..." and then place the file where you want it. The same thing happens when you choose a regular rocksim file as well.

Hope this helps.

I just went to EMRR to see what you were talking about. Some of the files will download as they are ZIP files. The others, open up as text. (you are right) But these are the actual files you need. Let them open up and then save them (from the FILE pull-down menu, and then Save AS) with an extension of ENG. Make sure to put them in the right directory.

See if this works for you.......

You need to associate the .eng file type with the proper program so it doesn't open as a file text in internet explorer.

Under Program files\Apogee\RockSim 7045\data right click on a file with a .eng extension (like APOGEE.ENG).

Then select "Open with" and from the menu select "Choose program" and then select EngEdit from the menu in the window that opens (note: it usally takes a few seconds for this menu to pop up).

Close the EndEdit program and you should then be able to download the engine files with out having them open as text.

If you can't find EngEdit as one of the programs to select, try opening it up first from the Program files\Apogee\RockSim 7045\Program directory it will apppear as ENGEDIT.EXE Close the program and retry the "Open with" trick above.
