I just purchased and downloaded Rocksim 11 and have an issue. When I go to start it, I get a message that I must have GL 1.4, and that I have ES 2.0. It goes no further. The following is on the Apogee site....
Windows Computers: Rocksim v10.0 and RS-PRO works with the following Windows OS:
  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10 - requires a graphics card driver of GL 1.4 or later. (Note that GL ES is not "later", even if the number is higher than 1.4. GL ES 2.0 is not compatible - update your drivers if possible).
That issue is mentioned for 10, but nothing about it for 11. I called Apogee and was advised the comment for Windows 10 should also be for Windows 11.

Update. Installed an old GPU I had laying around and it now works fine.

Where does one find this info? I checked my system (Win10) with dxdiag, and see nothing resembling that.

I'm not sure. The way I knew what I had, is when I tried to start ROCKSIM and I got an error message stating what I have (ES 2.0) and what I need (GL 1.4 or higher). If you want to know if it will work on your computer, download the trial ROCKSIM. It is good for 30 days and is free. You will find out if it works on your computer as soon as you try to run it.

I've got Rockisim 10, and I'm not so sure I want to pay for an "upgrade", when I'm not convinced its needed. That and every time I've upgraded it introduced new problems.

If you have 10 and it works, than you have nothing to worry about.

OpenRocket does 99.99% of what Rocksim does for free with no BS graphics issues. I don’t understand the appeal for paying $50 for software that a free open source one can do.
