Rocksim 10.3 crashes while attempting to download engine data

Can you clarify the steps you are undertaking to arrive at the error condition?
Normally, I pre-download the latest engine *.eng files into a dedicates /Rockets/motor-files/ directory.
Then Edit->Preferences, and add your directory to the list of "User-defined thrust curves:"
After that, every time you launch OpenRocket, new motors are available for simulation.
