I had fun helping out my daughters science teacher with a rocketry presentation today. Let me tell you carrying a couple large rockets through the halls of a large middle school as the students are moving between classes is quite entertaining!

I did a short presentation on the rocketry hobby. We then built air rockets as table groups. A little tricky getting all the folds right. Once the rockets were built and decorated, off to the softball field we went. We launched them at an angle to see whose would go the farthest. Each team was allowed 40 lbs of pressure in the launcher. Man did they have fun! The vice principal came out and couldn't believe what he saw. Amazing what one can do with a sheet of paper and masking tape! He filmed the second launch session for the weekly video report :)

Two classes today. Two more next week.
