Rocketman Chute Size

Should I go with a 5ft. or 6ft. Rocketman chute for a rocket weighing 8.75 lbs including spent motor?
Our launch site is at 4500 ft. elevation with dirt, rock and heavy sage to land on. Will be launching to 5,000 ft AGL.
I would also be interested in drogue suggestions.

I'd go with the one that fits in the airframe and brings it down around 15' per second. A 12" drogue would be fine.

Based on it and your 5000 ft target altitude, I would use the 5 foot chute just in case it deploys at altitude.
Do your fins hang low?

I would do with the 6' unless the ground is real hard then I might even go with a 7'.
