You could add a spill-hole. Make another parachute from the material you remove.

In my very subjective opinion, you should hang on to the chute until someone with a project worthy of such a neat parachute comes along. Cutting it up seems like a travesty. Maybe you could sell it back to Buddy or a vendor? Another place to advertise is arocket or maybe Aerocon would take it?

I have a tentative buyer for the chute if I hold on to it until the end of July.

Initially, I contacted Buddy and he didn't want it back.
