I think i found the answer for the dilemma of what to do with all those spent automobile tires...we could make rocket fuel with em for hybrid motors. i bet if it would be a pretty fair fuel, and there's and endless supply of the raw materials waiting to be used...
 
Yeah, I have heard about this... I remember a company in Wisconsin that was testing some type of hybrid motors that used tire rubber as the fuel. I'm not sure what the company is called, but I saw it at Rockets for Schools last year.
 
you can use pretty much anything for hybrids I have even heard of people using peperroni
 
I figure it'd have to be pretty dry... But at the launch site making lunch, pinch a chnk of salami, poke a hole in it, and put in your favorite microhybrid...
