Rocket Lab's next generation Neutron rocket will have a fully reusable first stage with an integrated fairing that opens like a flower.


Has some cool new technology - like NO fairings (wow mind blown (facetiously - like why have we not done this before? I know it needs to be uber reliable...)), Full Reuse - save upper stage, lands at launch site...

Throw away fairings are light and when the whole rocket was one and done leaving them attached didn't make sense from cost or weight point of view. It'll be cool if it works.
