So last year, I attended a rocket camp at the Cleveland Museum Of Natural History. I built 3 rockets, 2 of which are in my basement needing repairs, and 2 of which are single-stage, making my total rocket collection 5, and if I have my way today, it will grow to six with two payloaders. I want to hear from you guys about the rocket camps you attended, and if you remember a kid by the name of Alex at Cleveland, that would be me. Not saying any more about my identity.

Not quite a Rocket Camp, but an excellent program none-the-less. Each summer Purdue has Grandparent's University where alumni bring their g'kids to campus to participate in one of ~20 different "majors." Last summer my grandson was enrolled in Aerospace Engineering. P_20190628_092832_vHDR_Auto~3.jpg

I could never attend as a kid, but I spent some time as a Crew Trainer at Space Camp here in Huntsville 7 years ago. That was the first time I launched a model rocket.

Last summer we had a group of young teenagers who were enrolled in an aviation day camp through a flying club at the FBO stop by our hangar for a tour of the helicopter. They were planning on building rockets later that day and launching them the next and were all excited. I wasn't working the next day to see them launch, but I assume they all had a good time. I think it is great they do these camps to get kids interested in careers in air or space.
