I'm starting with this one and plan many more. After years of doing visual effects for movies it's a real joy to just paint on canvas. This isn't finished quite yet but close and I plan a series of them putting our beloved rockets into space.

I've always loved the BigDaddy and plan on building larger one this year. So I thought it would be fun to paint my own in it's color scheme.

These were inspired by the 2001 shuttle

I've seen them before and they are beautiful.

It took some careful and well planned engineering to get them to fly so well.

You know I had the best time and a good laugh reading your FAQ section on the Dyna Soar web page. But it also pointed out pet peeves I have had for years with the people that complain about costs. Why does it cost so much? Well said Frank. Man we pour our guts into these things and they complain never thinking for a moment what it takes to make a good model or kit.

BTW 2001 is my favorite movie of all time and had the biggest influence on my long movie career. I have recreated many items from the film from the Star Child to the Space Station. The Space Station is on exhibit in San Francisco right now.

Complaining is absolutely not the right response, but it may help to see the other side of the issue as well. It is a terrible feeling to want something that is financially out of reach. And we live in a world of jacked up prices, in which, if you wait long enough, it will go on sale.

With smaller businesses and hand-made or boutique items, that sale never comes. So people complain in frustration over not being able to get what they want.

Nope. it is helpful to buyers to have a clear vision of "this is how it is." :)

Not at all. I laughed so hard because I would have answered the same questions exactly in the same way.

Bat I get the "you want too much for what you do. Your having fun while I'm working hard for my money". I work just as hard and yes I'm doing something I love but it's still hard work and my time is worth the average paycheck at best. I think we all get that here.

No doubt. It's just the world we live in, like when people get upset that you can't offer free shipping on a 50-lb box of FG parts. "Well, Amazon does it ...."

    That's a great painting!

The image was small on my phone browser and I thought "that kinda looks like a big daddy" as I glanced at it
Then I read your statement and felt silly
Then I looked closer at the image and saw it literally said "Big Daddy" on the side and felt more silly
