No..It is one of the file 'types' not allowed to be uploaded:confused:..Simple work around, just change the file extension from .rkt to .txt and it will upload just fine..As long as the person downloading knows to change it back to .rkt things will be fine..

I think it would be fairly easy to setup so rocksim files can be uploaded I did a bit of googling about adding new extensions to vbulliten software and it said you can just convert one of the existing ones to the new extension. It would be a nice feature to have.

Yes, this is easy and was there in V1.0. I had requested that these and all other file types for our common rocket programs be added. Lost in the shuffle.

Okay, looks like it works.

What other extensions do the various programs use?

Might be handy to have .eng and .rse or whatever the newer rocksims use.

RAS Aero - .ALX1
Autocad - .DWG, .DXF. .DWG
New Office Files: .DOCX, .XLSX, .PPTX
Added all but .ppt and .pptx -- can't see the point in PowerPoint slides.

Maybe I'm wrong on that; I'm willing to be convinced....

Powerpoint does have a free viewer out there.
Right, but is it something that folks are likely to upload?

The others are all formats I've seen commonly used for rocketry stuff. Not so with PowerPoint.

Thus the reason I asked.

Thanks Kevin! The sizes look good to me, but why the odd values?

Heck, I can't even see the point in Power Point.

It is possible that some folks may want to share presentations used in education or other out reach activities.

Odd values? You mean file size limits?

I picked 200,000 because it was a nice, round number. I took a look at the RockSim files I have, and the largest was 115K and some change, so I went a bit above that.

If we run into problems with folks not being able to upload something, I can increase it -- takes longer to start the browser than it does to make the change.

Ack, my post was clear as mud. Yes, I meant the size limits.
