Announcing two new Micro kits for Micromaxx motors.

These are regular body tube and motor mount kits but they come with paper wraps for all the neat details.

The kits should be ready in a few weeks and will be about $4 each.

I still have to round up a lot more parts!

The Saturn 1B is the first.

It is .45" in diameter (smaller than a BT-5 and is 4.6" long.

The Litle Joe II is the second kit. and is a little bigger at .544" in diameter (BT-5) and is 3.9" long.

Maybe not a Little Joe II...maybe a Tiny Joe II.

So........ If I order each of these Micro Maxx kits at the same time as a Saturn 1B kit, can I get away with one shipping charge?

I'm asking because I just bought 90 Micro Maxx motors 'cause they were on sale at $2.99 per 6 pack.

I want both these kits plus I want one of the Saturn 1B kits.

BobH48,

YES!

You could probably order 20 micro Maxx kits and the shipping wouldn't go up!

Here is the third prototype.

I need to work on the tower a bit more.

Everything has wood under it...these aren't "card" models.

I'm thinking all three kits in one bag...still gonna be real cheap.

Nice work Sandman! I'd have 1 of each if we could get MicroMaxx II motors over here:(

The Redstone got me, Sand. Sign me up for one set.

Guys,

Don't get too far ahead of me. I only came up with the Sat 1B and LJ II Saturday and Sunday. I threw the Redstone together today between phone call.

I still have to tweek the wraps a bit (the Redstone tower is just not right yet) and order a bunch of parts.

Oh yea...I have a real job too!

sandman

Geez.

I go out of town for three days and you produce 3 more kits!

I gotta go outta town more often!!! :D

No moss growing under my feet!

Gotta keep moving gotta keep working!

Haven't you ever noticed what always happens to people that retire? Eventually they die.

I ain't got time to bleed!

Well, big whoop, so do most of us, but that doesn't stop *US* from working on rocketry stuff in the office! (I'm still trying to figure out how to get away with *launching* in the office.) You better get those new kits going or we're gonna sent Guido and Vinnie to see you . .

Heck, Gordon will tell you, I work on rocket stuff in the office *all* the time... :D

man, my bad or what?? LOL

I spend about 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week on the road driving all day.

Makes it hard to work on models when you're driving...although...that is when I brainstorm ideas.

My dayplanner has more scribbled rocket notes and ideas than work notes.

Right now I'm looking into someone that can mass produce the nose cones for a good price.

I can make the cones myself ...and probably will...but consistancy is the problem with nose cones that small!

This is the Mercury capsule...pretty tiny!

BUT...real easy to paint!...I just used a Sharpie pen!

Sandman,

How do your microkits compare to the Dr.Zooch line and the Neubauer Rockets line?

Perhaps a side by side checklist of parts with their differences noted.

Apples and Oranges.

That covers 2 out of 3 vendors.
Does this mean you fall into the "bananas" category? ;)

The Micros would be more like....blueberries!

Since the 3 will be so small maybe all three in one kit...still small!

Maybe looking at about $1 shipping for all three!

Gonna go to the print shop today (Staples) and tomorrow I'll get my tube order (I hope!).

Guys...keep in mind...I only came up with the first one last Saturday!

It's just plain dangerous for guys like you to 'think out loud'

In the mad stampede for new kits, someone could get trampled!

Sandman,
If it's not too late can you reserve one of your Saturn 1B kits for me and one of each Micro kits too?

IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE...Geez guys...how fast do you think I am?

I don't even get the tubes for these things until tomorrow night!

TOO MUCH PRESSURE!

I will make enough for everybody that wants one.

For everyone that doesn't want one...I won't make any for you guys.
