Good guess CBrarick, but not the Orbital Transporter... another great idea though.
Made the call tonight, we’re going to include both 54mm & 38mm CNC
Price point and shipping, those are clear challenges on kit #2. USPS priority shipping is estimated to be around $27.80 USA, and $124 ROW, it’s well over the magic weight. As for the price point, considering what it includes, it’s a great price point.

FYI we are expecting to save builders $150 on the kit #2 run, over a builder just ordering all the parts in a one off scratch build.

Obviously we’re still in prototyping mode, so a few things might still change over the next couple of days.

Well, I'm stumped, so I'll wait patiently and check back periodically.

We plan to have all the latest prototype kit parts in shop this weekend. Then will test fit, take some pics, verify basic dry weights, put the finishing touches on the announcement post text with the kit details.

One of the feature of kit #2 is constructed very different than the original due to upscaling requirements, and has gone through numerous iterations as we fine tune the solution. Deceptively simple from outward appearance.

Then the rush to finish the assembly recommendations for it.

Good guess NOLA Bar!! :)

Cool! Two different BT sizes, 11 fins, rare Estes design! Also I have been looking at doing a BT80H upscale of the same rocket using an Aerotech nose cone. HP isn’t my thing quite yet but... the 38mm option in your version is [emoji106]. Cheers!

You should be able to buy the parts from Semroc. They have the correct nose cone for a 2.6 upscale. Same one as used in the Arcas kit. I bought the parts back when Carl was still with us. I can get it out of the trailer and take a picture if you like.

Anybody want to get together for a 4" diameter run? We'll need someone to source a nosecone. I'm thinking 54mm MMT, up to small K power, dual deployment.

I can't spearhead, but I'd be more than happy to commit to a purchase.

I have an Estes model and the AAA model, I'd love a 4" kit yet it seems your supplying ogive nosecones when the design is a straight cone shaped nosecone. Will you be supplying scale nosecose with the kit?

I'm thinkint "Short Kit."

Nose cone, plywood or 'glass fins, decals, instructions. Similar to the way the model airplane crowd has "short kits" of various models. Provide the stuff that's hard to get hold of, let the builder source everything else.

I used a coupler with a baffler installed. I believe they sell them that way. The recovery system attaches to the baffler and keeps the chute forward.

Anyone know where to find a scale straight cone shaped nosecone for 4" tube? Just wouldn't look right with a ogive nosecone.

The Cherokee-D uses a secant ogive (actual shape name) nosecone which is a near conical but not quite straight from tip to base. No company I am aware of makes a secant ogive nosecone larger than 2.6" (Semroc/Erockets), larger than BT-80 (2.6") is pretty much a custom order from someone willing to make one.
