Well, after MANY rounds of fill/putty/sand/prime/repeat this is where we are:

I decided to go with the wedge-shaped canopy. It was made from 1/64" ply and faired in with Tamiya putty. Also made a card stock "witch hat" to make a sharper nose tip; to put a finer point on it, as it were... :rolleyes:

The rest was just filling tube joints, fixing defects and generally smoothing things out to get ready for paint. At this point I'm pretty close to being ready for color, with just a few more small areas to fix. Of course, that means I have to decide on a a paint scheme...

Really cool, super unique! It looks fast just sitting there. The sleek lines of the canopy, wings, and tail all work really well together.
