Someone's going through the DT's!!

I had my winter fix for now.

ESL 140 was good. Nice weather for Jan. A little breeze but I'll take the 45deg. over the 25deg. any day.
Great turn out for the launch too.

The Feb. launch maybe in the mix.

Less than 3 months away and I've got the fingers crossed for good weather.

Besides my Buttercup, I've got 2 other projects in the works and will hopefully have their maiden flights at RG8.

The first is Black 5, the half scale. Actually it will be a .478 scale, but close enough. It will be 6' 9" tall with 5.5" diameter replica of my ill-fated fullscale that showered the earth with smoking chunks at LDRS. Progress will be detailed here: http://www.davdi.com/Black5_Half_Scale.html

My second and even more ambitious project is Scarto. Ken Allen just shipped the parts (just got off the phone with him) and will hopefully get started next week. It will be a 7.5 diameter ~15 foot tall rocket with a unique fin design. Hopefully it will fly straight. Depending on the final weight, the motor will be full M or a baby N. Progress for this will be detailed here: http://www.davdi.com/Scarto.html

So what are you bringing???

Some sage advice about using motors made by Ben......
I already asked if he wanted to use the Black five case that is cut down to a 4 grain

Kind of a "good luck" charm

Awesome timing on date. Looks like all three days for us!
Time to finish up L3 scratch project, Cerberus, for Red Glare.

Sleep-inn is full already?
Thats what it looks like using the web site reservation. I'd call them to see if they have rooms on hold for the event..

Per the twins instructions we've booked Holiday Inn Express on Kent Narrows so they can use the indoor pool.

Please pass along our congratulations!

Did you tell her that a requirement of citizenship is to build rockets?

... she wouldn't fall for it. Yesterday at the ceremony, I asked the officiator if $5000 was the going rate for fake marriages and if now was the time that she should be paying me.

The missus was not amused. :bangpan:

Hahahah, stop picking on my tree. That was a real tree that neighbors had donated to the cause.

I do too! I couldn't even image the projects me and him would have it we were working together. Double standard might just see a Q and 4 P's all sparky :bangpan:

I know it would be. With Vinny, no telling what kind of projects he'll get into.

Sleep-inn is full already?

I just reserved a room at the Sleep inn. They were holding 21 rooms for Red Glare 8 people. There are only a few left. Get them while you can. The reason they are full is because they have a wedding party staying that weekend as well. $87.95 a night.

Yep...I just made a reservation and they are going fast.
Of course with Ben retired that makes one extra room available.

There may be some cancelations by those wedding parties...but why take chance...
Of course, the weather is always a chance too.

OK....give me the ole MDRA weather chant:
"The weather will be there, and so will we....."
