Rastrocam

finished my Rastrocam bash of the astrocam 110
I used a maniac booster and beefed up the recovery section
It's set up for an estes E or whatever else will fit
I added a kevlar thread for the trigger string..
I glued a launch lug thru the upper bt and run the string thru it
than down into the lower coupler thru a v cut

now that I look at it ,I'm thinking the fins should be red
I also made a decal for it with Bel inkjet paper

I wonder where my camera is? It is lost somewhere in the garage. Flies great with D13's and D24's. D12-5 is also nice .

I kinda followed the article on Ninfinger... looks like quite a few have done the same thing, I hope to get some good pics

the string seems to stick sometimes( somewhere inside the shutter mechanisim) .. is there a fix for that?

Stymye, I love the paint scheme! Looks great! Hopefully you'll get some great pictures. I did <a href="https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=736&highlight=rAstrocam">mine</a> with <a href="https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=736&highlight=rAstrocam">2 stages</a>. The booster stage is 18mm which isn't quite enough to get it high enough for some great pictures. Time to dig this one up and add a 24mm 3rd stage.

flew the rastrocam on a d12-5 today, it arced over and I got a good shot of the ....sky

looks like a D12-3 will be the ticket

than I'll try the E9..a couple more flights and I can post some pics
