Timing how quickly a rocket can reach a certain altitude (500' or 1000' or more) looks like fun. Does anyone do this seriously? If so, what are the most commonly used timing systems? I can imagine a few ways to do it, but I'm wondering about any standards, or any method that's been tried and tested.
