I decided to go ahead and whip up a small wind tunnel to test stability on new designs. I usually use Rocksim and it predicts well but it feels better to do a real world test.
I built this today using just materials from my shop. It is a simple low velocity tunnel. I did not want something bulky to store.IMG_7617.JPG

Maybe 18 kts or so. Plenty to check stability or flow.
The fan draws, easier to get smooth flow.

It is my intent to have a combination curing oven / wind tunnel once the shop is more complete -- this lets me know that even if I'm crazy, I'm not alone!

Note tubes at the receiving end that act as flow straighteners also. Very Nice!
