I have a Estes Mammoth. It seems that the fins are glued with CA. I'm hoping to fly this on a AT F20W. Do you think it'll hold up?

Thanks,

I do think it will hold up. If you have any doubts, put some clear packing tape over the leading edge of the fins.

I flew a relatively unmodified ( taped fin edge, shock cord extended to the CR with a hank of Kevlar ) Mammoth on an AT H97J for my L1 cert, just to demonstrate that overbuilding is unnecessary :)

I've flown a stock built Mammoth on an AeroTech F20 motor. Worked fine.

I have even flown a stock Estes Ascender with an AeroTech G74. That worked fine, also.

OK. What did you glue the fins with?

Thanks,

I glued the fin halves together with Pacer Plasti-Zap (CA for plastic).

The fins were glued to the motor mount with a small amount of 30 minute epoxy.

Yeah, it looks like everything on mine was done with CA. That's what's concerning me.

Thanks,
