I've seen Estes videos (made from old Cineroc films), and other images from around the web that have red shroud lines. Yet, I've never seen an "Mint In Bag" kit that included them. So, my question is: Did Estes kits *EVER* include red shroud lines. If not, does anyone know why red lines would feature in so many old photos?

Decades ago, I bought a spool of the red shroud line cord from Estes. I've used it to repair the Estes low power style chutes. Still have a lifetime supply. Don't recall seeing any in original kits.

Don’t ever remember seeing the red shroud lines in any of the Estes kits I looked at and/or bought from ‘75 through ‘84.

It seems to me that if it ever was sent out in a kit, it'd would have been prior to 1972 or so. The photos I remember seeing seem to be of that vintage.
