Hi TRF colleagues,
During last weekend's vNARCON 2023, I attended the very informative presentation by David Carter on the rocketry workbench in FreeCAD. As I understand it, he developed that workbench.
I have set for myself the goal of learning FreeCAD — at least that portion of the program pertaining to rocketry. I have found FreeCAD to be a most useful piece of software. Moreover, it seems to be rather intuitive software, although I am just getting started with it, so I will see how things proceed.
However, I am having trouble with the fins.
Right now, I am trying to model the LOC/Precision Warlock, a rocket which rocket has three fins. Perhaps I am missing this, but I don't see how in FreeCAD you enter the number of fins. Am I missing this? So, I then proceeded to copy the one fin that I did model in FreeCAD, but then I don't understand the settings so that I can use the one fin and copy the othger fins around at 120 degrees.
Could someone please advise me.
Thank you.
Stanley
