Okay - I have heard two different ways of pronouncing Estes.

I say it

S-Tess

My roomate and the LCO at our launch says it

S-Tees

What's correct?

It's "Es-tis", to be precise. I believe there was somethig on the website, maybe. Anyway, this went around the Old Rockets Group a while back. When you call the company, they say "Es-tis."
BTW, I grew up saying Es-tees, and I can't break myself of the habit!

It is Es tess(tis). Back when they made promotional videos, they call them selves that. Documented proof ;)

Except that "Estes" comes from Vern Estes' last name. So, in fact, there is a "right" way to pronounce it :)

My vote goes for Ess-tis.

How about:

Data.

Day-tuh.

Dat-uh.

I vote for Day-tuh.

..."That's what I said, Dat-uh."

..."But my name is Day-tuh."

:D
