Yes. Only difference is thrust ring is on case on one and rear closure on the other.

Definitely. The nozzle holder and forward closure are also the same between generations.

The threads changed, and the thrust ring moved from the case itself to the rear retaining ring. Also that means that instead of two identical rings gen 2 needs a distinct forward and aft version.
