All,

I've never used the proline epoxy before and I'm looking for a little advice. The mix ratio states 16 pbw for the hardener and 100 pbw for the resin, I kow I'll need a scale but what do the numbers really mean as to how much of part A vs. part B?

Thanks,

Bob

pbw=parts per weight.

For every 100 parts (whatever measure you use...grams is easiest) you need 16 parts hardener. So, in terms of grams: 100 g resin and 16 grams hardener. Obviously you may not mix in those large quantities so simple division gets you a ratio of 6.25:1 (resin:hardener). Back to grams....6.25g resin and 1 gram hardener.

Thanks,

That clears it up.

I'm just finishing up the fillets on my 54mm.

You don't need to use all of it for one set of fillets.
The batch that seems to work the best is 10 grams resin & 1.6 grams hardener.
It's best if you have a scale that measures in to 0.1 accuracy.

I still have about half of what I started out with....
