I was able to get the custom cones made with help from Rich Harshberger(wood plug) and Stephen Neill(fiberglass mold and roto casting the 4" cone and meet 3.6-3.8 oz)

I got in two test flights on E-20's yesterday very fast but straight flights, glide was not bad for an X-15:)

42" long, 4" diameter, 20" wingspan, 14 oz airframe with radio. Painted with battery and motor installed will be 16.75-17 oz rtf depending on the motor chosen.

Instructions are done, pre-ordering is closed and invoices are sent! Hopefully video with it painted on Wed.

It is $150 shipped with cut vinyl decals from stickershock, this is only for expert R/C pilots, the order will go in tonight for parts, this is a one time thing, I won't do another run. If interested pm me asap. This will be the first R/C X-15 rocket glider kit that actually boosts and lands without chute.

Maybe I shouldn't buy since I'm not an expert. Thank You!

No problem, this model is heavier than my standard kits and due to the small wings glide time is shorter and faster, boost is quite fast and you need to be able to not get confused with directions. I don't want people to have a bad experience.

I continue to be amazed at how you get such great glides from big rockets with such relatively minimal wing surface area!
