those look like very small stands to keep those bikes upright o_O and where's the absorbent pad to go under the motor?😜

I had a Fastback Commando once... for three days.

It was locked in an outside laundry and chained to a couple of large eyebolts concreted into the floor. Someone obviously wanted it badly, and seeing as only four people knew I had even bought it I suspected, and still do, it was one of them.

I have a long memory. I'll get the bike back. One day.

I had a big BSA patch on my jean jacket back in high school (gr 7 or 8).. I had to remove it as others joked & mocked the letters.. I was being called "Bullsh-t America" (Despite being Canadian in Canada, in Quebec..)

haters gonna hate I guess..

Ridiculous. Everyone knows it stands for "Bastards Stop Anywhere".

2232, 33, 34, 35.

Sorry for the multiple photo's per post, but it seemed the best way.

The local Fire Department sponsored a car show today. Many nice rides.

It's a good thing I wasn't on one of those combat cycles today.
Please don't stand on bicycle paths during rush hour when there's a sidewalk literally next to it.
A water pistol would be fun though 😂

Or an air horn.
Seriously considering a car horn. A normal bike "ding" for the decent morning walkers, and an obnoxious car horn for the obnoxious <insert your favorite insult here> just standing there looking away. And for cars and trucks who'd like to cut me off.

OK @SkyFire, can you tell us anything about this fantastic tiny E? It looks to be a beautiful early Series 1 copy, maybe even with the external bonnet latches.

I'm soooo jealous! Sending this pic to my father and brothers!

I know WHAT it is (at least I think I do), but cannot fathom the WHY! What's the purpose of a turntable with multiple tone arms, and why all the motor gadgetry??? Is it just to be weird and different?

@bronicabill :
Some of us asked the same thing. The reason why / the response was: so you can tune each tone arm for a particular record or music type. One tone arm can be set for 78rpm records, while another can be set for rock & roll records, etc..

Mind you, if you are that attuned to hearing that level / quality of the recording, you:
  • have way too much $$$ invested in speakers (but then again, look at the speaker stacks he's posted!)
  • are likely named Fido or Rex or Spot..

:D

Motor is isolated from the platter to reduce vibration. That little 10" LP is probably mono. A cartridge for mono, 78, cartridges with different compliances, maybe one for playing less than perfect vinyl so you don't ruin an expensive stylus. There's obviously some show involved, too.

I couldn't buy the drive belt, much less the rest!
