That photo was taken at the exit of turn 8 headed toward turn 9 ant Brainerd International Raceway. Sadly, that part of the track is no longer used for SCCA racing. I competed there, at BIR, Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI) and BlackHawk Farms Raceway (just outside South Beloit Illinois) beginning in 1983 racing until 1990. I ran out of money when the kids arrived.

Firework shells while we were setting up a show.
I think that was a skydiving festival and airshow in Middletown, OH. I don't remember if it was that shell or not, but we had some shells with parachutes inside that strung strings of Lance showering sparks down as they dropped for those guys.
We also straped fireworks to a skydiving team for a night jump at that event. Fun times.
