Farm folk. Grandpa & I (mostly Grandpa) made it from whatever he had at hand (hence my passion for scratch built rockets). The motor and wheels came from an old lawn mower, I'm guessing 40's or 50's era?

I bet I put 500 miles on it. I wore the hard rubber tires off... so Dad made weld passes across the steel wheels so I could get traction.

Been thinking about a table, but I'm trying to avoid the inevitability that my body is getting old and slowly breaking down due to a medical condition. It's all better now. Kneeling wasn't the problem. It was the walking that needed support so started using a cart.

Despite the brace, I think it's a kick ass photo.

That other guy in the pic isn't Nick is it? I roadraced for 16 years and only did flat track for about 5. Small world. I bought my TT500 from Nick, that sure could be him.

Yep! That's Nick alright. Spent many years together on the road and wrenching on bikes.

First aircraft. I think this was taken in 1982. Originally registered with the FAA as N27SB, Rutan Long-EZ S/N 1592. Took me 2 yrs to build from scratch.
