My Life!!! Those blood thirsty little skeeters have been attacking me by the hundreds this year! Every time I step outside I swat 10 or so. Next day I find a dozen new bites itching like crazy!

For some reason, they don't bite me. Perhaps the same reason that I'm a magnet for dogs. And, yes, I do take a bath once in a while.

Old wives' tale, maybe with a grain of truth: Taking B vitamins is rumored to repel them. So for me, maybe it's the B vitamins from all the unfiltered beer I drink.

We don't have mosquitos here. Now Michigan when I lived there had mosquitos that could carry you away. When I lived in Florida I killed a mosquito by hitting it with a broom. Twice. It was the size of a Humming Bird.

In the Florida panhandle, the mosquitoes aren't a big issue where I live, and I back up to a creek. The Yellow Flies and Deer flies WILL keep you out of the woods, and punish you as you leave. This year has fostered a bumper crop in my neck of the woods.

Mosquitoes here seems a little worse this year. So are the gnats.
